Hello! My name is Christine Dietz. I am a ABMP Certified State Licensed Advanced Massage Practitioner
I have over 10 years of experience. I have worked with Professional athletes such as The Detroit Lions. I have a medical background. I currently work in a ER verified Trauma Center. I have experience in many modalities and have worked with a wide range of people, such as prenatal, infancy, pediatric, adolescence, geriatric, athletes, pre and post surgery patients, palliative care, special needs, and more.
My goal is help you understand the basic philosophy of massage therapy. It embraces the concept of vis Medicatrix naturae, which is aiding the ability of the body to heal itself, and is aimed at achieving or increasing health and well-being. Touch is the fundamental medium of massage therapy.
So why do I practice Massage Therapy? Since I was young I knew I wanted to help people. I started off in Nursing and then shocked my family and went to 6 years of Massage school. They all thought I was crazy. Massage therapy at that time wasn't even as known as it is now, but I fell in love with it! I couldn't believe how much there was out there in aiding someones needs, such as a stressful day, a trauma, accident, sports related injuries, arthritis, geriatrics, hospice and cancer patients, and the list goes on. The fact that I had every client/patient leaving in less pain or relaxed and smiling was everything to me. My favorite thing about the massage is when you exit out of the room after your massage with a smile on your face stating you feel better; that's exactly why I do what I do. I feel this was my calling. It is my passion! I hope when you meet me, you too can see that this was meant for me.
To give you a little about myself...
I am happily married for almost 8 years now and have 3 Amazing children. My family is Everything to me. That is why I keep weekends and evenings for them (Unless there is a need for an emergency appointment)
